I took most of the day off and slept in all afternoon. Finally, around 4:00 pm, I walked around fifteen blocks east to Parque O’Higgins to watch the local skateboarders shred in the skatepark. Three or four of the guys were really good, making 90% of the flip tricks they tried on various obstacles, including flat bars, gaps and quarter pipes. There were also a couple of bowls, but only a couple of kids were skating the smaller one. The bigger round bowl was really gnarly, with a somewhat rough surface and barely any flat bottom. Also, the coping didn’t really stick out enough. The rest of the park looked pretty decent, though.
