Today, I hopped on a number 64 bus bound for La Boca, a working class neighborhood on the southeast side of town. Famous for a small tourist trap district complete with a walking street called the Caminito, La Boca features several venues for tango, as well as a plethora of restaurants and souvenir shops—all covered with a veritable rainbow of colors. I’m always a sucker for brightly painted buildings and cobblestone streets, so count me in when it comes to places like La Boca! It’s a photographer’s dream. After about an hour of strolling around and snapping a few photos, I hopped back on the bus to head back to the city center before sunset, as La Boca is notorious for being dangerous after dark.

Look at me! Just look at me up on my whimsical eight-foot tall bicycle complete with a basket holding a cute little puppy at the bottom. Despite the fact that I’m just screaming out for attention, I’m going to frantically whip out my smartphone and take a photo of any tourist who takes a photo of me…just out of spite.
