A full day of walking around the vast expanse of the Tikal Mayan temple complex in the punishing tropical heat yesterday coated my legs with a new case of heat rash, also known as miliaria or prickly heat. So, I had to move from my fan room in the Green World Hostel, which has no air conditioned rooms, over to Posada de la Jungla, where I’ll be forced to spend a few days inside the cool air to hopefully clear up the rash. The Posada de la Jungla is a really narrow, multi-story hostel with a really homey feel. For example, there are floral sheets on the beds, which make it look like your’e visiting grandma’s house.
