Today, I schlepped about a half mile over to the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, but it was closed. I asked a lady at a gate there, “Abierto mañana?” which means, “Open tomorrow?” and she said yes. Since it was already around 2:30 pm, I didn’t bother trying to visit any other museums, as they all close around 4:00 or 5:00 pm. So, I just went out on another photo mission to shoot street art and interesting buildings.

Back at the ranch, I mean the hostel, yesterday the guy from Washington DC and the two Dutch guys checked out and no one else checked in, which meant I had the room all to myself last night, which was pure full-night-of-sleep bliss. Around 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm tonight, five other people checked into my room. One guy talked on the phone a few times, but luckily not for too long. He also farted a bunch. Three people who were together went out to a bar and didn’t return until after 2:00 am. They woke me up and I couldn’t get to sleep again for an hour or two. These are just two of many reasons why I hate sleeping in shared hostel rooms.
