All These Colors Tour: India Part 49

    Thursday, November 1, 2012
    Delhi, India

Another fake sadhu plies the back lanes of Paharganj, Delhi, India.

Did you know all of these footlockers are full of 1980s skate zines? Old Delhi, India.

A graffiti demon at the New Delhi train station, India.

Since I got another late start today, as usual, I took another crack at seeing that Dances of India show, but this time, instead of walking all the way there, I jumped on a random bus and rode it for maybe a half mile until it turned left. Then I just disembarked and walked the rest of the way. As I hung a right at Delhi Gate, I passed by the super long plywood wall around the subway construction again, then looked closely for the venue, Parsi Anjuman Hall. Soon, I saw an old man and old lady hanging around outside a couple of locked gates, where there was a small sign that read Parsi Anjuman Rest Home. The man asked if I was looking for the dance show, and when I replied yes, he informed me they don’t have it there anymore. Argh! So, I hopped on another random bus that was heading back toward Pharganj, which I also rode for a half mile or so before it made a left turn. As I settled in at the Brown Bread Bakery for dinner, I gave myself a pat on the back for not getting lost or bit by a rabid dog tonight.
