Tropical Heat Tour: Thailand Part 9

Bangkok, Thailand
I took the day off. Nothing really notable happened until the evening, when I went to change some money at a bank. This place has a window on a wide sidewalk for night transactions, which mostly consists of moneychanging. I was converting some U.S. dollars into Thai baht, and no one got in line behind me the whole time, until I started to count my baht to make sure it was all there. Then some really small tourist lady with short hair appeared out of nowhere and stood at the counter right beside me. Really? Would you do that to someone standing at an ATM machine or at a counter inside the bank? What a rude, pushy jackhole! I glared over at her twice, as it was obvious that she was trying to put pressure on me to move out of the way. I just stayed put and took my time, because you have to count your money right at the window in front of the teller in case anything is missing. If you move over to the side or walk away, you’re out of luck, because they could just say you put some bills in your pocket. Plus, there is a little dish right in the window where you can count it before you slip it into your wallet so any possible crooks on the street can’t see how much you have. Anyway, I just brought this up as another example of how rude some tourists can be.
