    Sonic Youth at the Wiltern

    The main thing I remember about this show is that Wolf Eyes opened with an hour-long cloud of Throbbing Gristle + Merzbow-style noise and some of the audience actually booed. Yep, you heard that right, people booed for noise at a Sonic Youth show. What a bunch of sissies!

    Anyway, Sonic Youth played pretty much all of the songs from Rather Ripped, which is one of their best albums of the past 10 years, as well as a few old ditties. All in all, it was a hoe-down, for sure!
