I took off another day to let my feet and leg muscles recover from that long walk to the Dusit Zoo on Wednesday, as well as to halt a couple of nascent blisters on my toes that started to form right after that. For breakfast, I had fruit, yogurt and muesli at Number One Vegetarian Restaurant, because they only charge 45 baht, which is half the price of the same thing at May Kaidee’s or At Home Guesthouse. Between naps and some web research on Sumatra in the afternoon, I had a bowl of delicious seaweed, vegetables, curry and rice for lunch at May Kaidee’s. A few hours later, I followed it up with the usual Saturday buffet dinner at May Kaidee’s that lasts from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. I stayed for a good two hours, intermittently stuffing my face (between games of Tetris) with every delicious dish on offer.
